In the dynamic world of technology, where innovation knows no bounds, it is essential to spotlight the exceptional women who are shaping the industry and driving progress. We had the privilege of conversing with the brilliant minds working behind the scenes at Weborama, a company at the forefront of digital advertising and data solutions.
It is important to remember that the history of computing itself has been profoundly influenced by visionary women. Over the decades, pioneers such as Ada Lovelace, who wrote the first computer program, and Grace Hopper, who contributed to the development of the first compiler, played a fundamental role in the creation and evolution of this field.
This editorial series aims to restore their nobility to them.
After featuring interviews with Elena, Olga, Narimen and Camille, it’s now the turn of Manuela, motion graphic designer at Weborama, to share her story with us!
– Can you briefly introduce yourself, your background and how you got here?
I recently graduated with a master’s degree in digital strategy and discovered the world of advertising after several years of work experience in various sectors such as the hotel and insurance industries. I’ve been interested in advertising for a long time, and I was lucky enough to discover it first-hand during my final year of studies, as a work-study student at Weborama.
– What is your role within Weborama and what are your responsibilities?
I’m a motion graphic designer in Weborama’s Studio team. My role is to bring projects to life by working closely with clients, as well as the Sales and Traffic teams. From initial conception to final delivery, I ensure that each campaign is aligned with the expectations and objectives set.
– Can you share an achievement or project that you are particularly proud of since joining the company?
I’ve had the opportunity to work on a number of diverse and rewarding projects. The most recent, and undoubtedly the most memorable, is the Olympic Games project, for which we had the chance to develop several innovative advertising formats.
– What skills or qualities do you think women bring to technology and how does this strengthen the team at Weborama?
Women bring a diversity of perspectives. Their sensitivity and ability to forge strong bonds strengthen the quality of our customer relationships.
– How do you see the importance of diversity and representation of women in tech, and how is this reflected at Weborama?
Diversity, and in particular the representation of women, is a major issue in the tech sector. As well as being a question of fairness, it is a real driver of innovation and performance. At Weborama, we are convinced that diverse teams encourage creativity and are better prepared to meet the expectations of an increasingly varied public.
– What advice would you give to young women who want to pursue a career in tech, particularly at Weborama?
My advice to young women who want to go into tech is to seize this opportunity with determination! It’s essential to develop key skills such as logic, problem-solving and curiosity.
– Can you tell us about a woman in tech who inspires you and how her journey has influenced your own career?
Ada Lovelace is a major source of inspiration for me. Her story shows that women have always had their place in the world of tech, even if they have often been overshadowed. She was not only a brilliant mathematician, but also a creative visionary. Her story reminds me of the importance of diversity and inclusion in this sector.
